Obituary for Manuel Antonio Benitez

Manuel Benitez of Irving passed away February 17, 2019. He was born on February 1, 1951 in San Miguel, El Salvador to Jose Sebastian Reyes and Eloisa Benitez. Manuel will be remembered as a man who loved Jesus Christ and was a member of Templo Internacional Revive in Farmers Branch. Manuel was independent, hardworking and a little stubborn. He loved his family and treated his girls as his princesses but also greatly loved his boys. Although he never attended organized school, he was amazing at math and taught himself many things. He invested so much in his family but also enjoyed joking and watching soccer. He is preceded in death by his parents and sister Ines Benitez-Reyes. Left behind to cherish his memory are wife Vilma Benitez of Irving; daughters Zulma Benitez and husband Jose Romero; Karen Molina and husband Carlos; Isabel Benitez and husband Dionicio Benites; sons Jose Benitez and wife Luz; Manuel Benitez, Jr. and wife Davina; and Alexi Benitez all of Irving; Nine grandchildren and one great-grandson and numerous other loving family members and friends. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 pm on Tuesday, February 26, 2016 at Templo Internacional Revive 2711 Cooks Creek Place, Farmers Branch, Texas 75234 followed by a funeral service beginning at 8:00 pm. A vigil will follow the funeral service beginning at 9:00 pm. Interment will follow on Wednesday, February 27, 2019 at 10:00 am at Oak Grove Memorial Gardens in Irving.
