Obituary for Elizabeth Pena "Lisa" Moore

Elizabeth Pena Moore, affectionately known as ‘Lisa’ by her loving family and ‘Liz’ by her friends, died tragically on Thursday, February 21, 2019. A beautiful soul who cared so much more for others before herself was born in Corpus Christi, Texas on a Saturday Valentine’s Day in 1959 to Luis Pena and Irene (Garza) Pena, and a family of five girls and one boy. Lisa loved white roses and to travel, go on cruises, being on the beach and was loved by all for her wonderfully silly, goofy upbeat and lighthearted personality. Always smiling she was a very strong educated women whom everyone wanted to be around. Known to be a great cook she never made anything that people didn’t find delicious and ask for more. It was her family, especially her children, that were everything to her. Lisa loved to sing and would often sing to her daughter ‘Ain’t no girl like the one I got”. She was simply an amazing mother, grandmother, great grandmother, Ita, sister, daughter and friend to countless many. Lisa is preceded in death by her father Luis, but remembered by so many who loved her and will miss her deeply including her daughters Jenifer Pena of Fort Worth and Jessica Pena and Jarvis Jackson of Carrollton; son Adrian Pena and wife Amanda of Dallas; grandchildren Angelica Garcia, Alexis Garcia, Destiny Garcia, Natasha Clark, Truela Clark and Falando Clark; great grandchildren Christian Villatoro, Charlee Rose Menchaca and Genesis Ellie Garcia; her mother Irene Pena of Grand Prairie; sisters Yolanda Campos and husband Marcelino of Chicago, Josephine Pena of Grand Prairie, Mary Tays and husband Willie of Grand Prairie and Margie Pena of Grand Prairie; brother Joe Pena and wife Niria of Irving; and numerous other family members and loving friends. The family will receive friends at the funeral home the day prior between 4:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Burial will occur at Oak Grove Memorial Gardens in Irving after the funeral.
