Edward T. Carolan, age 77, died peacefully at home surrounded by his loved ones on Monday, May 20, 2019. He was born in Waco, Texas to Everette Edward and Winona Ruth (Todd) Carolan on Thursday, June 5, 1941. Edward, although born in Waco was an Irving resident for 52 years. He proudly served in the United States Air Force between 1960 and 1967 and was honorably discharged. After the military Edward found a career in truck driving, retiring from Old Dominion Freight Line in 2004. His family lovingly remembers his enjoyment of the outdoors, camping and especially fishing. Edward most enjoyed working on motorcycles with son. He was an active member of the Patriot Guard Riders. He is preceded in death by his parents, sister Patsy Watkins, and nephews Ray and Ronnie Watkins. Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 58 years, Susanne Carolan; son Joe Carolan; granddaughter Kim Sosa and husband Gilbert; granddaughter Samantha Carolan; 5 great grandchildren; beloved family dog Sophia, along with numerous extended family and friends.
