Joyce was born in Fannin County Texas to O.W.(Bill) Evans and Edith Beatrice Price Evans. She had two sisters, Betty June and Barbara Louise (Bobbie) and one brother William Scott. She is survived by her sister June. On December 4,1950 she married Marvin Edward (Ed) Carter who preceded her in death. They had three children, Bobby Lee (Butch), Sherri Anne and Marvin (Ed) II. They have nine grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren. Joyce loved to be with her family. She raised her kids and cared for her family with great love and affection. She loved taking annual trips with her sister, and occasionally other family members, to Las Vegas and playing the slot machines. Scratching off Lotto tickets was something she really enjoyed, even if she didn't win anything. She enjoyed weekend gatherings with her family, especially if there was a Dallas Cowboys game on TV. Whether they won or lost she was a constant fan. She loved music especially from the '50s and would play the radio and dance to Elvis, Jerry Lee Lewis, Fats Domino and more. Joyce Carter was a beautiful woman inside and out and will be sorely missed by those she touched in this world. Go Cowboys!!
