Obituary for Edwin Bert Perry

Edwin Bert Perry, age 88 died on Monday, June 17, 2019. Edwin was born on July 6, 1930 in Hill County, Texas to Lucille (Greenwood) Perry and Thomas Albert Perry. Ed was a generous and kind person. He enjoyed working and loved his career at the City of Dallas. He enjoyed making people smile and always had a joke to tell. Ed was a huge Dallas Cowboys and Texas Rangers fan. He watched all the games on T.V. Ed had a big heart, always helping those in need. He loved cars, especially his Dodge Challenger. He had a fondness for dogs and was known for bringing in strays. Ed was a member of First Baptist Church in Irving, where he volunteered and helped maintain mission homes from time to time. He played softball on the Calvary Baptist Church softball team. Ed, when younger served as a volunteer fireman for the Seagoville Fire Department. Ed is preceded in death by his parents; spouse of sixty plus years Dorothy Perry; and brother Thomas B. Perry. Left to cherish his memory are children Shirley Russell and husband Lewis, Edna Maxwell and husband Ron, Jennifer Camp and husband James; Renee Georgeff and husband Gib; grandchildren Tina Wheeler and husband David, Jeff Russell and wife Angela, Katie Pascoe and husband Byron, Julie Mosty and husband Nicholas, Travis Clark, Trevor Clark, James Camp; great grandchildren Lauren Wheeler, Rylee Mosty, Avery Russell, Maxwell Pascoe, Addyson Russell, Ruth Pascoe, Abigail Mosty, Ellie Wheeler; as well as numerous other extended family and loving friends. The family will receive friends and relatives from 12:00 pm until 2:00 pm, Friday, June 21, 2019 at Brown’s Memorial Funeral Home, 707 North MacArthur Blvd., Irving, TX 75061. A funeral service will follow immediately at the funeral home at 2:00 pm with an interment following at Oak Grove Memorial Gardens, 1413 E. Irving Blvd., Irving, TX 75060.
