Obituary for Jaxon Alexander "Rider" Chavez

Jaxon Alexander Chavez, at the precious age of 5 months old, was welcomed into eternity on Friday, June 14, 2019. Jaxon was born on December 16, 2018 in Grapevine, Texas to Alana Michelle Dowden and Eric Anthony Chavez. Jaxon was lovingly known by his Mimi as “Rider”. He was a joyful baby boy who was always happy and always smiling. He possessed a wonderful, contagious laugh and anyone within hearing distance couldn’t help but to grin. Jaxon loved watching his older brother play. He had just started teething, but often times smiled through the discomfort. Jaxon loved his mom & dad so much, but he was certainly a “momma’s boy”. His grin grew so big when mom came into view or he heard her voice. Jaxon was big for his age, but his personality was even bigger. He never cried unless he was hungry. Jaxon was a beautiful gift that will be forever remembered in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. Jaxon is being held for now, by his great grandfather William Wesley Taylor. Left to cherish his memory, while waiting to be reunited are parents Eric Anthony Chavez and Alana Michelle Dowden; brother Eric Anthony Chavez Jr.; Mimi Simone Taylor; grandfather Douglas Dowden; grandmother Mary Lou Luna and husband Kenneth McDonald; great grandmothers Juana Luna and Maxine Taylor; as well as numerous other extended family and loving friends. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 22, 2019 at Brown’s Memorial Funeral Home, 707 North MacArthur Blvd., Irving, TX 75061.
