Gene Teichman died peacefully at home surrounded by his loved ones on Monday, July 1, 2019 at the age of 72. He was born in Fort Worth, Texas to Herman Samuel and Vivian (Sparr) Teichman on Thursday, March 20, 1947. Gene was an Irving resident for over 6o years, and during that time he worked for Yellow Freight. He began work as a long-haul driver but during his later years he worked as a yard hustler, having put in over 30 years of service before his retirement in 2005. Gene enjoyed a few hobbies such as playing the steel guitar and flying aircraft. He is preceded in death by his wife of 41 years Cynthia Ann Teichman and his parents Herman and Vivian. Left to cherish his memory are his son Brent Anthony Teichman and wife Tana; son Chet Allen Teichman and wife Amy; 5 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren along with numerous extended family and loving friends. A graveside service will be held at 11:00am on Wednesday, July 3, 2019 Oak Grove Memorial Gardens, 1413 E. Irving Blvd.
