Grant David LeRoy, age 64, died on Monday, August 12, 2019. Grant was born in Glen Falls, New York on May 10, 1955 to Velma (Aunchman) LeRoy and Jess LeRoy. Grant was good at making friends and maintained many close friendships throughout his years, even in high school Grant was a popular kid. Grant played football during his school years and continued to love the game late into life. He enjoyed watching football as much as playing it. Grant was a kind man and a loyal person. He routinely looked forward to having breakfast with his brother Donald every Sunday morning. Grant had a great sense of humor and was fun to be around. He had a very persistent personality. At one-point Grant had decided to retire and take up fishing. In his persistence he spent three years, every morning fishing on Lake Vilbig and never caught a single thing. Just like that, Grant gave his best in life. Grant is preceded in death by his parents and brother John LeRoy. Left to cherish his memory are daughters Kristyn Tumlinson and Elizabeth Lawson; brothers Russell LeRoy and Donald LeRoy; sisters Suzanne Mahoney and Anita LeRoy; as well as many other extended family and loving friends. A memorial service has been scheduled for 9:30 am, Saturday, August 31, 2019 at Brown's Memorial Funeral Home, 707 North MacArthur Blvd., Irving, TX 75061. An inurnment will immediately follow at Oak Grove Memorial Gardens, 1413 E. Irving Blvd., Irving, TX 75060.
