Jon Mashburn died unexpectedly at the age of 40 on Thursday, August 15, 2019. He was born to Anthony Steven Mashburn and Sarah Small on Thursday, November 23, 1978. Jon was a loving and doting husband, father and a new grandfather, and everything he did was for and about his family. He spent many years on the softball and baseball fields, coaching leagues both his children played for. Jon enjoyed his work and traveling as a freelance graphic installer, and time spent on his Harley motorcycle. He is preceded in death by his father Anthony Steven Mashburn, mother in law Carol “Nanny” Stearns, brother in law Stephen McDonald and nephew Wyatt McDonald. Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 20 years, Amy Mashburn; daughter Jordan Zeiders and husband James; son Grayson Mashburn; grandson Lincoln Zeiders affectionately called “LJ” by his pop; sister Heather Mashburn; mother Sara Baker and Tom who raised Jon since a very young age; niece Ashley Woolnough and husband Evan; niece Amanda Mallory and husband Shawn, and their daughter Katie who Jon lovingly called “Katie Bug”; niece Angel Mashburn; niece Gracie McDonald; nephew Cody McDonald; sister in law Kathy “Granmama” Sprayberry and husband Jay, as well as numerous extended family and loving friends. The family will receive friends between 6:00 and 8:00pm on Monday, August 19, 2019 at Brown’s Memorial Funeral Home, 707 N. MacArthur Blvd in Irving. A funeral service will be held at 10:00am on Tuesday, August 20, 2019 also at the funeral home.
