James B. Morris “Moose” of Bedford passed away August 17, 2019. James was born on April 22, 1954 in Bartlesville, Oklahoma to Floyd Harold Morris & Lucille Charlotte (Soderholm) Morris. He will be remembered as a very giving and helpful person with a great sense of humor and as a great practical joker. James served his country in the United States Army for 16 years as a German Linguist until his discharge in 1992. In addition, he was also awarded the Sharpshooter Medal during his service. He worked in the construction industry for over 20 years. James loved rooting for his Dallas Cowboys and Oklahoma Sooners. He is preceded in death by his parents, Floyd H. and Lucille C. Morris and brother Thomas Owen Morris. He leaves behind to cherish his memory daughter Jessica Linn Adkerson and husband Paul; grandchildren Emma Grace Baucom; Peyton Sawyer Adkerson and Kellen Micah Adkerson; brother Fred Morris and wife Jamie; sister Kathy Lowry and husband Terry and many loving friends and extended family. A funeral service will be held at 11:30 am on Thursday, August 29, 2019 at Brown’s Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. Committal with military honors will follow at 2:00 pm on Thursday, August 29th at The Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery in Dallas. Please arrive 15 minutes prior to service time and line up in lane 1.
