I always remember getting together with our family members, especially when mom and dad could come and enjoy all the grandchildren at John and Charlene's home. What a gracious host Charlene was. She never seemed to lose her cool. Calm as a cucumber.
I would bet her work environment was the same, as she had a good sense of humor.
She and John took the time to come down to Temple to visit with Gary. They took the time to visit with him during his incarceration at Emeritus. I can tell you that meant a lot to our brother Gary, suffering from Parkinson's. She was there through thick and thin.
And when he died June 4, she made the effort to come to Temple for his funeral, even feeling lousy as she was. What a trooper.
God certainly needed her more than we did, and now she is gone, but not gone from our memories.
Farewell, sweet Charlene, May you rest in Peace. We will remember you always especially during this wonderful feast of Thanksgiving.
Your loving sister in law,
Mary Ann
