Carmen Enriquez, age 79, passed away at home on Monday, November 26, 2018. She was born in New Braunfels, Texas to Álvaro and Feliza (Garza) Villanueva on Sunday, July 16, 1939. Carmen was a caring and loving mother, sister, grandmother, great grandmother and friend. She will lovingly be remembered for the strength she had in her religion, the love and dedication she had for her family, and her love to cook for them as well. She is preceded in death by her parents Alvaro and Feliza, husband of 54 years, Santos Enriquez Jr., great granddaughter Haylen Rayne Luna, brother Gilbert Villanueva and sister Angelita Cantu. Left to cherish her memory are son Tony Enriquez; son Pete M. Enriquez; son Joe Enriquez and wife Kim; son Ray C. Enriquez; brother Edward Villanueva and wife Evangelina; brother Ruben Villanueva and wife Anna; brother Alvaro “Sonny” Villanueva; sister Feliza “Connie” Monreal; sister Juanita Alavez and husband Clyde; sister in law Oralia Villanueva. along with numerous extended family and loving friends. The family will receive friends between 6:00 and 8:00pm with a Rosary to be said at 7:00pm on Monday, December 3, 2018 at Brown’s Memorial Funeral Home, 707 N. MacArthur Blvd. in Irving. A funeral service will be held 11:00am, Tuesday, December 4, 2018 at the funeral home with an interment beginning to be held 1:00pm at Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery, 2000 Mtn. Creek Pkwy in Dallas.
